i dont really know much about mutations in quails except for silver and brown etc. but i have this one that has finally become mature and he has a light beige strip thingy under his breast. i was just wondering if you knew anything about it. ive got some photos
Looks to me like a silver - the males still sometimes get that pink colour like the brown males, just more diluted. I could be wrong though, I haven't bred many silvers, just a heap of browns
not as far as i know. i'm pretty sure the silver is recessive and the normal is a dominant gene, so the father is normal split to silver... maybe lol, not a pro with genetics of quails...
