It's exactly what it says. they take specific posts and enter them on the web. They have limited permissions and can only view general forum. A trade off for listing Forum (Free ads) on their search engine.

I learned many years ago, If you don't ask then you don't learn, and not to be too concerned about what other people think, epsecially ones that I don't really know.desertbirds wrote:Thanks for asking that tintola, you ask the questions sometimes that im not game too for fear of exposing my lack of computer literacy.cheers

On a serious note
Because google etc are feeding off forums like ours we must be careful what we say in print because its put on file as a permanent reference.
When putting your point across or opinions we must try and not be dogmatic as we all know what works for one doesn't work for another.
An example, I was involved with a Forum quite some years ago,Google picked up my references and today I can simply bring them up as if I wrote them yesterday. We all know that Aviculture moves on so we must be wary of what was say because many people will read and not realise that the article is from the pass.
Same applies to poor grammar and spelling, it will still be there in years to come

Even with expired Petlink Ads you can still see them, because of the bot, google will see the page and keep it in it's servers so if you know the URL of the ad, you can google search it and press cahshed and that will show you the old ad.
