Anyone any idea where I can get some palm grass from in Adelaide? I have looked in Bunnings and an other local nursery but I got to thinking that its probably a weed.

I think your "pleasant morning "post may hold the answer if thats the type of palm grass you are looking for.

Many thanks to Tintola who offered to send some palm grass seeds to me if I couldnt get any local plants.
I have now been able to source some local plants. Desertbirds got in touch with his Gran and she had some in her garden and they offered some to me. Went to his Grans home today to dig a plant or two up. Lovely lady, we had a good laugh while digging up the plants.
Got a lot of bonus seed heads too. Think I just about used up desertbirds supply
One of the plants is as tall as me, Ive divided this one in two to increase the chance of survival, I also got about 4 smaller ones to so I can pass them on. Do the birds like them? I think so...just a bit...all the following pics were taken in 4 different aviaries within 5 minutes of putting the seed heads in. Even at 5pm there was still a BFPF hanging off the stem
Its practically dark here and he's still eating it. Must be like ice cream for birds.
So to all those who helped with offers of seeds and plants my birds and myself say a big THANK YOU
