Hi All :D
I got my buttons!!!!!!!
Meet rosemary (after Rosemary Hutton) and Bootle (after my idle Geral Durrell's childhood boat, because he looks like a bootle :D )

well they are awake, pics taken and uploaded :D :D
I'm SO EXCITED 4 years I have been looking for these birds!!!!
I am sure I have a pair here, the hen is so much bigger and brighter!
My mother says they look "mentally defective" as I put it. She puts it as "stupid" :roll:
their yellow eyes certainly give that impression.
I've never had birds like these before - they are so weird and interesting!!! I love them so much already :D :D

Rosemary's creepy stare - it has the same effect as those creepiest of birds, Bush Stone Curlews *shiver*

the LBQs are probably running all over the place too :)
they are much smaller, king quail size :)

If you are going to keep them in holding cage for long don't forget to put a small container of washed large grained Sand.
It is so important for them to grind seed up in their gizzard.Even more so than finches.
When she starts booming you then know she wants to mate.Once the male is sitting you may have to remove her as she
could annoy the incubating male especially if there is limited amount of cover.
Good specie of Quail though.
