What's this bird?

There's a couple of pair nest at home every year. Me and the better half have a difference of opinion as to what they are. I'll let you decide. This is as close as I can get for a pic!!!!

How could it be a weaver they are native to Africa . It's a red caped robin.

Dont worry BB :( Ive not only heard of birds escaping but Ive accidently let them escape and on first sight I thought of a Weaver too .

No necessarily, I have heard of a family of Ruddies (African finches) doing quite well further north from me.
