Hi guys.
I have been trying to buy a baby bird formula online. I have around £15 pounds to spend and went to buy a 5lb bag of exact but the company never sent it and charged me anyway. So i asked for a refund. Unfortunatly amazon who sells it cheap dont send to my area.
So i want to no the next best thing to exact.
Would this food be suitable to feed baby finches (rearing food)?

I think (from how it was explained to me by the fella at Priam Parrot Research Centre ) is that each type of bird needs a certain % of protein .
With parrots it can vary according to size however IMO a finch isn't going to eat as much as a macaw so it wont take in as much protein on a ratio basis ,so they would all be much of a muchness when it comes to hand rearing .
Of course I could be wrong but I have come to this conclusion given the lack of finch specific hand rearing formulas and the inability to get even parrot baby formulas here in the sticks .
I go for one that smells pleasant , isn't gritty and has all the bits and pieces to keep a bird satisfied nutritionally .
Hope this helps ..not much to work with sadly .
