Can someone please help diagnose

i currently have 2 gouldian finches that both have problems surrounding there eyes. i took them to the pet store today to get some help as to what might be wrong with them and they claimed that it was scaley face.
i have already tried treating them for scaley face before but it hadnt done much. so im going to try again and see if this time it will work.
the bird with the red head has this pussy thing on his nostril which is really worrying me that he could have an airway infection???
i have already taken the two birds out of the aviary and put them into a little cage inside where it is nice and warm, and have treated them with scaley face treatment and antibiotics.
can somebody please help me try and diagnose this and what other cheap ways we can prevent it as money is very tight lately. thanks

Neither look happy. The first one no idea. The 2nd looks like it could be scaley face. Have found a mix of vege oil and detol to be good for treating this, but don't know about this close to the eye.

What kind of antibiotics did you use ? You could try some doxyvet from vetafarm it may be Psittacosis . I’m not a vet just trying to help .

The antibiotics I used is called tricon powder which I got from the vet a few months ago worth about $60

Gee FM it looks nasty ... I imagine they rub the beaks / heads on perches so this is something you'll want to be nipping in the bud ASAP .

Are they in quaranteen at the moment ?

Looks like Psittacosis to me aswell. I would also try some Doxyvet or Pssitavet I dont know if they still have Doxyvet Plus ? A fecal sample would/should be sufficient for a vet from $30 to $50 each to be sure.I would defiantly put them in quarantine.

They are definitely in quarantine, dont worry about that, Im not risking any other birds health.

It’s one of the Tetracyclines similar to doxyvet it may help

You probably already know this but when you feed/water your birds make sure you do these last and don't go near your other birds or utensils until you have decontaminated yourself.
