Bored and need to lighten my mood so I am asking this .....

What has the forum done for you in regards to your bird keeping ?

What do you like the most and look for mostly ie. certain topics that interest you ?

And anything else you want to add ...no negatives please that can be another topic NOT

OK who is first ?
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

The forum has done many good things for me,
When I came to this forum I was a very bad breeder and I thought I knew it all then I got banned then came back and some very nice experienced breeders E Orix , Weaver and Shox and many others have helped me to be a better finch breeder. They have given me so many great ideas and my breeding results have increased dramatically thanks to their great ideas and my mortality rate has also gone down a lot. They have told me how to improve my aviary set up and I spent all day improving it but theres still a long way to go and much to improve and learn about. And weaver has even come to look at my set up which was very kind of him and I am very grateful  . So thanks to all the forum members that have helped me improve my finch keeping/breeding.
My favourite topics are the topics about Australian finches as they are what I specialise in.

Thanks again Nathan

I will not buy new types of birds without comming here as I find the advice given here is spot on in terms of aggressive/hard to keep ect birds.some things I have seen here iv tried and the finchs always seem to like the new foods ect
I do find that what im told by bird sellers can be very different to what is said here and here is usualy correct

Well I've been breeding birds for a long time but breeding finches about half of that time, thought I knew a fair bit but after reading alot of posts I can learn alot more, have picked up a few tricks that this breeding season I will give ago. I find the forum to be a better source of knowledge as there are a few different opinions on different topics which is great because there never seems to be one correct way for breeding finches of different speices. I find it good that the wealth of knowledge can be shared so this great hobby which we all share in can hopefully go on for generation, and what else i like is that when reading books/internet sites they can't always answer question that bug us where as on here there is always an answer or ten even though sometimes they disagree. As for the topics which I like are general questions, breeding, health, diet and finch lounge and I don't mind having a peek in other bird speices.

buzz thinks his a doctor, but he doesn't have the patience....... what I have learnt is , that it takes all sorts to make the forum work and aviculture in general its the only way you can learn from others who may have made some mistakes along the way......pete

I have learnt there are alot of good people willing to share knowledge and friendship on this site. There are not many finchos where I live so it's a great meeting place. My favorite area would be health.
