In a couple of days I'm moving to Cobar for work, the money & perks offered were to good to say no (for now at least).
Family is staying here in Whyalla for a few months though.
Wonder how my long suffering other half is going to cope, when I go back to visit every couple of months.
Cos I plan on filling the back of my ute with as many termites/mounds as I can find & fit in.

The things we do for our birds  :wtf:

See, you don't have to be  but it sure helps.... :D
Welcome to sunny N.S.W. Mickp the most over-taxed place on earth....
remember to eat all your fruit before the border, do your paperwork in advance in triplicate and hide your termites as your probably not permitted to transport them in case you hurt them....and if you go near a state park look out....
on a more positive note there's a notable breeder in broken hill who has lots of finches, you may be able to visit en-route.

Yes Broken Hill produces some very nice and very robust finches.

Cobar isnt the worst place I have lived. there are decent size towns just a couple of hours drive away.
Other than work though there isn't much to do out here.
Birds are breeding well for 'she who wants to be obeyed'
Hoping to find a few acres around Griffith and will be moving the family& birds there, mid year.
Even I'm not nasty enough to inflict Cobar on the family or birds.
