Nooooo straight little beak like a wren and not much bigger than a good size Willie Wagtail . Grey belly and dark back . I know its a shocking photo .
Very curious little bird , not shy either that or very brave . Hmmmm OK taking decent camera back next week so will hopefully see him again , thanks for trying .

Couldnt be a swallow could it? Although the tail has shorter wires than I would have thought, that and the fact that Ive seen quite a few swallows in the garden over the last few days swooping in and out of the shed.

Ok I side with Buzz then, a House Martin. http://www.google.com.au/search?q=house ... 00&bih=683" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you scroll down to page 5 there are a couple of pics with people holding house martins so you can gauge the size a bit better.
Jay might have a good choice too. Pic of one probably dead one page 1, line 1 http://www.google.com.au/search?q=white ... 00&bih=683" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://birdsinbackyards.net/species/Hir ... caudacutus" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Im nothing but fickle, I might move my vote to the White Throated Needletail, now I know you are in their area of habitat....
