Wondering if male Zebs help sit on eggs OR has the little bugger made a dash for freedom ?

Yes deb male zebs will help with incubating eggs, female require her time to eat, stretch and preen. As for males roosting in nest at night most will but some don't. As for males sitting yes we do and some more frequent than others.
