Abbreviations used in birdkeeping

Let's see how many we can come up with.
If we get enough it could be helpful for new members as a way of deciphering what the hell others are on about.
Put in what you know, doesn't matter if someone else has already added it previously.

This the type of thing you are looking for?

OB's = orange breasted waxbills
Ruddies =Fire finches in SA
BFPF = Blue faced parrot finches
RFPF = Red faced parrot finches
ASM = Air Sac Mites
Moxi = Moxidectin and Moxidectin plus
Goulds = Gouldians
BH = black head
RH = red head
YH = yellow head
PC = purple chest or PB = purple breast
WC = white chest or WB = white breast
GB or NB for the normal coloured back gouldian
DFYB = double factor yellow back
SFYB = single factor yellow back
BB = blue backed gouldian or me :D

Pretty much what di said, plus
Blood = crimson finch
DB = desertbirds
Not a common avi term, but I just love BFCS ,the black faced cuckoo shrike. On birding outings you just yell "BFCS!" and you get so many odd glances :lol:
Cordin/cordan/cordun = cordon blue waxbill
Gents= maggots
Bully's = chestnut breasted mannikin
LBQ= little button quail
