I'm just about to introduce sprouted seed to my finches diet. I'm after some advice as to which is the best seed for this purpose. I tried a general finch mix but it barely sprouted.

Generally, it's best to use just-chitted seeds rather than ones with a longer sprout, as these have lost nutrients. I find yellow and red panicum good to sprout- I use it in a mix with Japanese millet.
