And did you ever tryed to now why this happened to your bird??
Because this is so strange: the male buiilds the nest, the hen have 3 to 4 eggs and, they even make shifts in the nest, every time one comes out, the other enter in the nest and in the end, nothing. All eggs empty. So, if the problem is not the lump and has you experienced, your bird did not breed any time, could this bird, this mutation be origin in a hybridition??
Because this problem does not exit in pied RFPF and Tri-colored PF. Or does it????

Gustavo Hi, quite a few years ago this happened and it also happened with heavy pied orangebreast's.I was obsessed with buying anything i could get my hands on that was different to normal. They were not hybrids but mutations that pop up every now again out of normals.I don't know wether the pied markings on these birds effects their fertility or not,but that was my exsperience with them and it might be different overseas. Craig

Well, Graig you was almost has i am now: i love mutations, not hybrids but mutations inside of a specie.
Almost all my gouldians are mutations, my RFPF are too, my Lonchura Malabarica are too and even my Star Finches are mutation.
And i saw this new pied BFPF and he is a very beautiful bird but the fact that he can not breed normaly is driving me crazy...
