Very exciting Myzo, the blue seems to be more turquoise as well. Thanks for sharing  Craig

Could this be the out come of an F2 cross? From the pic the plumage at the change of colour seems a little "rough"

Very interesting.
Myzo, with all your connections, can you organise a few pair for me? I'm happy to breed a few to test Diane's theory and ensure they reproduce true to type. All in the name of science, of course, so free of charge.

To me it looks different to red ear parrot finch as they don't have turquoise colour under blue mask.Interesting

Thanks for the share Myzo. I have come to be very fond of the parrot finches. Especially the blue and red faced. The bird in photo looks like a blend of the two. LOL.

It will be interesting to see how many more they find and if they are all true to type.
Perhaps Sam could put in an application to import some for "genetic research purposes"? LOL

Alway good to fine that a species can survive undisturbed or discovered in this day and age.
