You can only try Danny . Ive been using human beans and peas to sprout but Im sure if the seed mix was fresh it would sprout just as well .
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

Oh, so you are the one that posted the tip on this little spouter, Jusdeb. Know I posted about in another thread, saying "learned of it in another post", and put photos up of sprouted seeds. Worked so well, went and bought another, as well as some, stir fry, alfalfa, fenugreek and mustard seed alive mixes. Works great!
Danny, I have used the Elenbee Clifton finch mix, and it sprouts just fine. Even with the one tablespoon per tray directions, get lots to feed the birds and to freeze, using both setups. Hope this helps, and thanks for sharing the find, Jusdeb.

have one of these and it works very well. I have sprouted finch mix but stopped as mix contains linseed which gets poisonous when sprouts. Now I use Quinoa seed which I buy from health store, this will sprout overnite and I use acv in the water twice a day. cheers Bob.

Have a question, at what stage do you feed the seed to your birds:
when the rootlet starts to show?
When the seed opens to show the green?
When the shoot actually emerges?
