Hi all,

For those interested in general ornithology, the new David Attenborough series Life is starring birds this week. It's at 7.30pm, Sunday, ABC.

and also, the Canberra Avicultural Society sale is on the 22nd August, 2 days away. Anyone coming up for the weekend, it's a great show.

So did anyone watch the documentary? I only saw the last bit, with the bower birds competing for the female's favours by collecting treasures to show off. i thought that was so cool! I knew some birds collect bits to impress but that was a much more concerted effort than I ever imagined! :)
