Maybe their to old having them for 8years they be just about to RIP, but I assume that you have brought new ones as well. Are they attempting to build, how many pairs do you have and do you have the same sex ratio. 4 baskets and 9 nest boxes is what I remember you told me, don't have them to close to each other and vary the heights and see what happens in spring. You could also try to swap some.

How big is their avairy? How many birds are in it? Are all your finches in together? The more we know the more we can help.

Is it correct what someone said that it is 5 x 3 metres? Cause if so this should be just about right. Though I would not add any more birds to it.

That's a good size!
Maybe try getting another Zebra to make it 3 pairs, rather than 2, because two pairs often struggle. The cockatiel may also be causing a problem, I know Cockatiels are very agressive, and this could be pressuring the Finches. 8 Pairs in 15m2 is on the upper end of comfort, so maybe with the Cockatiel...

I wouldn't be in the authority to say, but I know that mine, and my neighbors cockatiels are pretty damn feisty!
