Does any one own canaries

I have a pair which I took from Dad in my avairy. I only wanted them for the male's song, but I hate having odd birds so a pair it was. He can get very loud but I'm used to it. I was always in and around dad's birdroom as a kid and when you have 15 or so males in a nice warm room in the sun it can can deafening.
But out in the yard when my one male sings it sounds awesome. But then again I love the sounds of my lovebirds chattering/squaking away during the day. Some might call me weird, some very close to me even.
