Tas I use a Tin Cat with the entry holes guarded so the birds dont get in for the main aviary .
It has been great with many catches .
I use the sticky paper inside the house and only the once as it did its job extremely well and no more mice.

Touch wood Im on top of them at the moment but that can change in an instant . As you probably gathered Id do anything to be mouse free and Sticky paper has a place here for just that job.

Baits placed ( screwed to one end )inside PVC pipes with the end caps on and a very small hole are also used with success as I often find dead mice in the yard .

Only thing I can add to the above is with all these mouse proofing measures nothing beats mouse mesh and keeping the aviary surrounds free of debris or overgrown plants , my aviaries are fully enclosed with the mouse mesh and also it pays to be vigilant if you have other pets ...Im lucky my dogs would rather retrieve than eat the poisoned mice but we have to be on the lookout all the time just in case.

Hope this helps
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.
