yeh i no i could of done that gomer and they were nice birds too probs the best Aust yellows ive seen nd the guy barely knew bout gouldians or finches at all was into racing pigeons.
good to hear your silver is pretty strong AMCA. but im sure ive heard they are more stronger than just the blues, remeber a mate over hear used to breed more silvers than blues, even with the pastels aswell

Hi Amca 26 ,I like to point out to you the bird you have in the picture is not s/f silver,but it is a pastel cock bird,the give you tell the different is by the colour,the pastel has blue grey around the back of the head where silver has no blue grey behind the head.

Tony, my understanding was that silver can only be DF cocks (and naturally SF hens), so any single facyor bird is technically not a silver, is that correct from your breeding. If so is the bird even less blue than AMCA's?

If the bird in the picture had a purple breast it would have a pastel blue back, because of the white breast the back has a much lighter colour making it look "Silver" but if the term Silver is reserved for a DF then this bird is a white breasted pastel.
