Does this person use a needle and thread to sex his birds? That's what he seems to be holding: a needle in one hand and some thread in the other...
I presume the blindfold is to avoid silly distractions like visual displays and physical condition: important points in racing and sexing birds

Actually I had just finished sexing a few Eclectus Parrots using the same needle and thread, but without the blindfold
My mate who owns the birds thinks that I got most of them right
I am thinking of marketing the method . . or has it already been done

I have few enough friends now . . my wife says it's because of my 'smart-ar$e' attitude . . but it is actually from tipping losers in horse races
The last winner I picked was Pharlap, which the bookmakers put up the odds in red numbers to help me

PS If its too much to read there are lots of interesting pictures
PPS The suit I am wearing in the picture above is the very same one that I wore for Pharlap's Cup . . they made things to last in those days
